Broker FAQs

You have questions, we have answers

Why should I become a Solstice Broker?

Becoming a Solstice Broker means more than just selling Solstice products. Our brokers are our partners, which means you'll have a dedicated Sales Executive, Account Manager, and Billing Representative as a resource on all your cases. Our team will collaborate with you each step of the way to provide high-quality boutique-style service that makes you look good!

How do I start a Solstice quote?

Quoting with Solstice is quick and easy.

If you're quoting a large group (over 100 lives), contact your dedicated Sales Executive and begin the quoting process. They'll help you pick the perfect plan for your client and get the quote processed within 2-3 business days.

If you're quoting a small group (under 100 lives), you can get a quote instantly using our quick quote tool on Solstice Marketplace. Just click here to get started. Look through our broker resources (insert a link to the Broker Resources page) for more information on quoting Solstice.

Where do clients call for customer service?

Client HR personnel can call their dedicated Account Manager with any questions regarding their account or billing. Your Account Manager is a one-stop shop for all your client's needs, from open enrollment and network to billing and utilization.

If client employees have questions, they can call the Solstice member services team at 877-760-2247 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET. Our member services team members are knowledgeable in all client plans and can answer employee questions about benefits, networks, billing, or claims.

What is "Open Access"?

All Solstice prepaid dental plans (DHMO/EPO) are open access with a fee-for-service payment model. This means Solstice plans do not have provider rosters. Your clients can see any dentist in the Solstice network at any time. Further, dentists are paid for the quality services they perform, not for the patients on a roster, so you can be sure every employee is getting the highest quality care possible. Why sell a Solstice prepaid plan instead of a DPPO?

Both Solstice prepaid plans (DHMO/EPO) and DPPO plans provide versatile and accessible dental benefits at affordable price points, making both great options.

What sets our prepaid plans apart is that they are uniquely designed to counter the pain points of traditional HMOs and EPOs. All Solstice prepaid plans are open access, fee-for-service, and don’t have any late entry penalties. To learn more about our prepaid plans, click here.

What makes Solstice DPPO plans different?

Solstice DPPO Plans are designed to bring more value to employers and employees than standard DPPO plans. We can customize and tailor DPPO plans to each group and offer features like Calendar Year Maximums (CYM) up to $5,000 (or unlimited in some markets), CYM rollover, no waiting periods, and more. Why quote vision?

Vision isn't just an extra benefit or value addon. Getting your clients covered for vision exams, contacts, frames, and lenses encourages them to engage with their benefits. It can be crucial in spotting medical problems like diabetes early on. Solstice vision plans can be used at major retailers and private practice, ensuring your clients get the most out of their vision plans.
